1. Be Humble and honest about what you don’t know, but say that you will learn it, rather than trying to make up stuff

  • Don’t try to answer questions even though you have know idea what you are talking about
  • Understand why you made this design decisions
  • I really want to work here, I am a hard worker and very faster learner. But I actually don’t know why. That’s why I wanna work here

2. Research the company

  • Write a unique motivation letter specific for that company
  • Addresses the job posting they made
  • How I can add value and what you need things I can bring that make you stand out from other people applying for the job
  • Know their product, provide suggestion to improve them

3. Do something special/extra

4. Keep yourself up-to-date with Google and Apple design guideline

5. Explain your design process in your portfolio

  • How well you solve about the problem
  • How big the challenge it was
  • What you were able to design in a certain among of time
  • Need to give the context that everything happens
  • Reach and useful

6. Practice with someone before interview

  • Very harsh
  • Prepare the worst scenarios

7. Learn how to give and take feedback

  • Say what you really think
  • Also let other people say what they really think to you

8. Work your career outside the standard 9 to 5

9. Don’t be arrogant

  • Listen to people that you don’t like
  • Learn more from other people

10. Teach yourself discipline / specialization
